Retreat Success!

After 20 months of cancelled events, our guild members were in need of some cheer!

And we found it!  Christmas Cheer!  We were able to gather together and quilt!

Cece "caffeinated" herself by piecing coffee/tea cups!

Cece also shared three beautiful quilts that she made during the past 20 months!
Jackie came to retreat on a pumpkin inspired mission!

Great results!
She also shared a recent top that she had pieced!
Angela came with a jelly roll and worked her magic ...

... she left with this beautiful top!
Barb made great progress on multiple projects over the weekend!

She also shared a top that she had recently finished!

Due to travel plans, Amber was only able to quilt with us on Friday!
She spent her time applying binding to this adorable quilt!

Sam attended a Quiltworx camp in Montana this summer.  It was taught by Judy Niemeyer at her retreat center!  Sam made great progress on paper piecing the units!
She also finished piecing this quilt for a friend!
Sarah was busy working on making blocks for a new quilt in progress!

Shannon was only able to spend Saturday with us.
She was busy making a beautiful set of placemats!
Kay dropped in both Saturday and Sunday to share some quilts she and her mother had worked on.
We loved the unique way Kay set these sampler blocks.
Dotty was able to join us and worked on the wool applique ornaments.  She shared with us a quilt her mother had hand pieced and hand quilted.  So inspiring!
Kelsey made great progress on her quilt over the weekend!
Fabric placement is a time consuming process.  Her efforts are resulting in a very cheerful quilt!
In the summer of 2020, a few of us took an online class with Kimberly Einmo making her Perfect Pines quilt!  We all loved the class ... and Barb spent the weekend making it again!  Different fabric, but the same beautiful results!
Marcela cut and began piecing a new quilt Friday evening.
She spent Saturday piecing the blocks.
Piecing the rows on Sunday!
A finish!  Gorgeous results!
Those apples never fall far from the tree!  Our youngest member, Macey, is Marcela's daughter!
With her mother's help, she cut and pieced her sashing to her berry themed blocks!
A lovely finish for this berry special quilter!
This retreat was a "Loose Ends" event where everyone worked on their individual projects.  For those that were interested, we made wool appliquéd ornaments.
In lieu of door prizes, Santa surprised everyone with a gift under the tree!  Each member received two charm packs with a yard of coordinating fabric!

We were so grateful to have the opportunity to get together and sew!  Huge thanks to Sarah, Marcela and Terri for organizing the event!
