Post Christmas Creativity!

The final 2014 Time to Sew Event was productive, inspiring and fun!
Sam was busy working on her Quiltworx table runner ...
... and shared one that she recently finished machine quilting!
Darlene was hard at work ...
... finishing this top for a wedding gift ...
... and nearly finished this baby quilt!
Lila was working on a baby gift as well!
Roseann used the Accu-Quilter to cut strips for a king-sized log cabin quilt she is working on.
Marianne shared a lot today!
She showed Sam and Barb how to sew zippers!
She recently made a bag out of sewing themed fabric!
She created customized pockets for the inside!  A bag designed to carry everything needed for a day of sewing!
She brought in an Advent Calendar that she made a few years ago!  So creative!
A zipper bag she made for herself!
We were all impressed with an antique Grandmother's Flower Garden Marianne brought to share!
Love the fussy cut hearts on this one!
Marianne finished all the blocks for this sampler!
She spent time working today on these Granny Square blocks!
Barb has been especially busy too!  Not only did she plan today's event ...
... she also finished her Trellis top!  Congratulations Barb!  And thanks for organizing today!

The first Time to Sew Event in 2015 will be January 17th from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm!
Our annual Program of Work Membership meeting will follow immediately afterwards!

See you all in January!

Time to Sew with a Mission!

OMGosh!  It is amazing what a few dedicated guild members can accomplish!  Our Annual Tea & Auction is less than two weeks away!
Sam is a member of the "Large Auction Quilt" committee ... with her leadership and three "worker bee" members ... the mission was accomplished!
We felt the pressure, but in NWQG style, we made it fun!  Valerie was in charge of all math calculations!  We are grateful!
Terry B. is always so productive ... she and her machine put on several miles of stitching Saturday!  Terri S. served as the "guild gopher" ... cutting, pressing, and a bit of sewing!  Sara H. also came by and helped out for a few hours.
The center star layout.
Fortunately, Diane U. had made all the small star blocks in advance.  That made it possible for us to put the top together in one day!  Thanks a million Diane!
It is a king-sized quilt!  Shannon E. volunteered to piece the backing and prepare the binding!  Member Linee' has volunteered to do the long-arm quilting and to apply the binding.  We still need a volunteer to tack the binding down by hand!  Please contact Sam if you're able to help with that!  Whew!  What an effort ... thanks to all who made and are making it happen!  Our members are amazing!
We made time for a bit of show and tell.  Sam is making good progress on this beautiful quilt.
Terry is ready to quilt this adorable Berenstain Bear top!  Sew sweet!
She also has several auction items in progress.
Beautiful!
Thanks to Terry for making arrangements for the day!
