Celebrating Nat'l Quilting Day!

A coastal storm was blowing full force outdoors on Saturday, and it made for a perfect sewing day!
Valerie wowed us with a couple of finishes!  Her "Overture" is stunning!
We all loved her black and white version of Blue Ridge Beauty as well!
During the day, she added the borders on this amazing king sized beauty!  Gorgeous!
Sally made great progress on a new quilt for her two year old daughter!
Amber was busy building units for her next quilt.
She was able to begin laying it out with stunning results!
Sam also shared a recent finish!  Gorgeous!
She began working on another equally as gorgeous quilt!
Marianne shared an adorable baby quilt she made using charm squares!
She finished another vibrant and beautiful top using a layer cake!
She has nearly finished quilting this maple leaf top!
Two patriotic lap quilts have also been recently pieced by Marianne!  This girl is always busy!
And she nearly has this top quilted!  It will hang in her church for Easter morning!  It is beautiful!
Neva was busy making the binding for her Trading Patches quilt ... such an accomplishment!
Susie made great progress on her holiday themed log cabin!
Gorgeous!  Everyone marveled at it while she choose borders!
Torie has fallen in love with 4 patch leaders and enders!  And the results are beautiful!
She was also busy making zipper bags ... super cute!
She finished this one during the day ... everyone fell in love with it!
Shannon pulled out a project from her personal quilt vault!  Sew fun!
Before long she had tamed that bundle and created this adorable layout!
Terry's husband loves trains.  While traveling in Oregon last summer she purchased this wonderful quilt kit!
By the end of the day, she had most of the units pieced.  It will be beautiful and her husband is sure to love and appreciate it!
Barb was busy making a new organizer for her sewing room!
She just received three finishes from her long arm quilter!  We all loved this patriotic version of stars and log cabin blocks!
Her beautiful Christmas quilts also received their frosting!  Beautiful!
This one is equally as lovely!
Denna is doing the mystery row by row quilt currently found in American Patchwork and Quilting Magazine.  It is her first mystery and she enjoyed picking out fabrics while having no idea how they'll be used!
She cut and pieced her first two rows!  We all loved the results!

What a wonderful way to celebrate the day!  Filled with fun, fabric, and quilting friends!
Our annual spring retreat is only a month away!  Watch for details later this week!

QA Fun & Time to Sew!

On Sunday, March 6th we enjoyed an inspiring Quilter's Anonymous meeting!
Diane finished piecing this beautiful top ...
... and shared with us a quilt she recently quilted with her long-arm for a client.
Terry made great progress on a stained glass wall quilt!  There are so many steps to this technique, and she accomplished a lot!
We've all been inspired by Neva's Trading Patches quilt.  She spent the day working on the binding ... the finish is so close!  Wonderful!
Denna layered her baby quilt and put her walking foot to good use!
Before long the quilting was done!
By the end of the afternoon, she had sewn the binding on!  All that was left is tacking the binding down by hand!  Great accomplishment!  Darling quilt!

Don't miss out on the fun and inspiration this Saturday!  See you there!
