Sew Kind of Wonderful!  Round 2 Event!

Marcela and her committee have worked their magic and arranged for our members to have a second chance to participate in our Rock Star Event with Sew Kind of Wonderful!  Our classes were recorded, and we can access the recordings for a limited time!  So Round 2 participants will receive the same class experience!  

Round 2 Details

When:   Saturday, December 3    9:00 am - 10:00 pm

               Sunday, December 4      9:00 am -  4:30 pm  

Where:   Home Economics classroom

                Participants are to fill out the form found in the righthand column so that a box of supplies                         and rulers can be prepared.

Round 2 Fee 

    The price is $75 for members and $100 for non-members.  This price includes the four specialty rulers         required to make both patterns.

Additional Bonus

    You get to take the Round 2 class with members who took Round 1! You will find their progress                  inspiring and their experience helpful!  Win/win for all! 

Loose Ends

Members who do not wish to take the class are welcome to come and sew their personal projects!

Preparation

Sew Kind of Wonderful will be teaching their techniques to us virtually while we sew together at the City Center.  The specialty rulers required for these two designs will be provided as part of your registration.  Participants are welcome to make quilt size or pillow size of each design.  Supplies needed for both are listed.

August Time to Sew!

 Looking to escape the rain? Join your guild members this weekend and quilt!

Marcela has made plans for us to spend the entire weekend ignoring Mother Nature!  We'll be making our own version of sunshine quilting together in the high school Home Ec room! 

The fun begins Friday and runs through Sunday!

Mystery Quilt Option!

Adding to the fun, members will have the option to participate in a Mystery Quilt!  We haven't hosted a mystery in years!  They really are a ton of fun!  We each choose fabric without knowing what we are making!  We receive clues that have us piece units without knowing how they will be used! Sew crazy!  And sew very fun! In the end we will have each made the same quilt! Click the links below to get more information about this fun retreat option!

About the Mystery Quilt

Mystery Quilt Cutting Instructions

Members can participate in the Mystery Quilt as well as work on their own individual projects.  If you plan to participate in the Mystery, please come with the cutting all done.  The first clue will be released Friday at 7 pm and you will want to be ready to sew! 

Swap Table and Door Prizes

Many quilt related treasures are found on our swap table!  All members are encouraged to donate and shop!

Door Prizes galore!  We can never have too many!  Whoot!  Whoot!

• Taco Bar Dinner!  Guild will provide beef & chicken filling and cheese.  Members are asked to bring additional taco toppings, shells and other goodies!

Committee Volunteers

We established our committees during our Annual Business Meeting in February.  A huge thanks to the members that volunteered to chair each committee! We need our members to sign up to help those chairwomen with their tasks!  You'll find the form in the right margin, please volunteer!

Spring Retreat 

Jackie has volunteered to chair our Annual Spring Retreat!  She has already begun making plans for us to enjoy!  Please help her out and volunteer to be a committee member for that event!  Spring Retreat is scheduled for April 22 - 24!

We are hopeful!  We are ready to begin another year of guild activities!  With oodles of optimism, we are ready to plan our activities for 2022!  

We'll begin the year with a Time to Sew event this weekend!  As well as hold our annual meeting on Saturday beginning at 2:00 pm!  Here are the details:
