Last QA Meeting in 2015!

Our chapter of Quilter's Anonymous had an enjoyable and inspiring December meeting!
Tori continued her work on this Row by Row from Petersburg, Alaska!
She shared a recent finish ... a vintage inspired pillow!  Sew cute!
And she spent the remainder of the afternoon with charm squares!
Amber arrived with a mission.  Her intent was to turn her feather blocks into a quilt top
Success!  Wonderful results!
Joan was visiting from Arizona.  She shared a recent knitting project, a beautiful sweater for her grandson.
Denna has been busy working on a travel bag!
Her efforts look very professional.  It is going to be a beautiful bag!
Valerie has been busy!  She spent most of the afternoon cutting the pieces for a scrap quilt she will piece as leaders and enders.
She also shared several pajama sets she recently finished for her nieces and nephews!
Sew cute!
Sew fun!
Neva knocked our socks off with her Trading Patches finish!  Stunning results!
She spent the afternoon turning this uplifting panel into a wall quilt!
Diane shared a top that she recently finished!  Beautiful!
Darlene was busy piecing a new quilt.  It is to be a wedding gift for her niece.  The grey, turquoise, and cream colored palette is stunning!
Sam was busy layering the beautiful charm square quilt she pieced at our last Time to Sew event!
Terry has been celebrating the Holiday Season by making two adorable Christmas quilts!
We all admired her hand embroidery!
Her second Holiday quilt uses raw edge appliqué!
The results are wonderful!  Amazing work Terry!  QA members agree that our chapter monthly meetings have been effective and we are looking forward to another productive year in 2016!

November QA Meeting!

Our Quilter's Anonymous group knows how to celebrate the end of November ... they took out time to sew and inspire one another!
Terry has been busy with a needle ...
... look at all the hand appliqué she has accomplished!
She also finished her Trellis ...
... all that is left to do is the binding!
Shannon was busy working on blocks ...
... for her Fireworks quilt!
Nothing stops this quilter ... not even a broken foot!
Tori was exploring a new technique ... using the precut turnovers with wonderful results!
Valerie is beginning a new "Leaders and Enders" project!  We all loved her scrappy block!
She has been busy with her appliqué needle too!  Beautiful results!
Sam started a new project using charm squares.
Wow!
Stunning results!
Neva was busy sewing all her trading patches blocks into rows.
She was so excited to see if it would be large enough for her queen sized bed ... and it is!

We have such fun supporting and encouraging one another at our monthly QA meetings!  All members are welcome to join the fun!

Guild Gratitude!

We are so grateful for all members who made our Annual Tea & Auction possible.  And a huge thanks to the community of Cordova for supporting our fundraising efforts!

Now that the Tea & Auction is over, members spent Saturday working on all sorts of things!  We were all grateful to have time to work on projects important to us individually.  Many of the projects  must remain secret!  Tis the season!  We'll share what we can!
Shannon completed the first block from a quilt she had recently cut out!  New projects are such fun!
Tori and Sam were using a serger to make pillowcases.
Tori shared with us this super cute changing pad that she recently made for a new mother!  Practical and adorable!
Barb was busy using the Accu-Quilter and cut many of her scraps into a usable size!
She also shared with us a tote she designed to carry her new round, rotating cutting mat.
It works perfectly!  We were all very impressed!
Sally started a new project, using a new technique!
At the end of the day her charm squares and mini-charms took shape into this baby quilt!  So sweet and only the outer border left!
Terry was busy piecing a set of new placemats for the holidays!
Marianne was star gazing ...
... with gorgeous results!
Valerie made great progress on a sampler quilt.  It will be stunning!
Denna spent the day machine quilting the pieces necessary for a new travel bag!
Diane cut out a new quilt that must remain a secret!  What happens at a guild event, stays!  Her secret is safe with us!
We all celebrated with Sam when she shared her recent finish! It is always so inspiring to watch members work on projects and to be present when completed!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Don't forget we have a Quilter's Anonymous meeting this Sunday, November 29th!  Details available in the right margin at the top of the page!
