Kimberly Einmo's Trunk Show!
We had waited three years for Kimberly Einmo's visit to Cordova! And it was worth the wait ... in every possible way! Our three day event began with a BANG! We enjoyed a potluck meal and then ... Kimberly's Trunk Show!
We had members travel from Juneau and Washington to take part in our quilting fun! It was so fun to visit and sew with Terry and Mary!
Our potlucks are amazing and always leave leftovers to be enjoyed the next day!
After dinner we moved to the classroom where Kimberly shared her quilting journey and many of her amazing quilts! WOW ... just WOW! Enjoy!
Members were inspired by each and every quilt! As we said good night for the evening, our excitement for the Lone Starburst class the next morning grew! Our three year wait was over! We left that night ready to sew and learn!

Quilt of Valor Project and Time to Sew!
In January, the guild decided to continue their efforts in making a Quilt of Valor for our primary service project!
Fortunately for us, Kathleen and Kay are willing to organize this event again this year!Jackie has also signed on! These three ladies know how to make everything fun! And all their effort is for a very good cause!
This is a pic of the quilt we pieced last year! Members made one or two blocks before beginning their own projects that day ... what stunning results!
Quilt of Valor 2019 Project
The Quilt of Valor project will take place during our monthly Time to Sew event on May 11th! The fun begins at 9 am in the Home Ec room! Members are asked to bring scraps of red, white, and blue fabrics! We will be cutting the scraps into 2.5 inch strips and will be piecing blocks using Bonnie Hunter's Scrappy Trip pattern! You are encouraged to make one or more blocks during the day! The goal is to finish our top by the end of the day again this year!
Recently Kay presented a Quilt of Valor. It was presented to Elaine Zeine in memory of her husband Ed. So important to let our veterans know that their service is never forgotten. Thank you Kay!
Bring your scraps on the 11th and we can honor another local veteran by making another guild quilt! The ladies have prizes for members who participate! Thank you Kathleen, Kay and Jackie for providing our members with this opportunity!
Pictures from our April Time to Sew Event!
Enjoy and be inspired!
