2017 QA Blast Off!

New year!  New quilting goals! We began 2017 with confidence in our ability to either begin or finish quilts that have been dancing in our dreams!  What a launch!
Sam shared a collaboration quilt!  Her sister did the cross-stitch for the medallion and Sam did all the piecing required to finish the quilt!
This close up photo showcases the both the hand stitching and the wonderful machine quilting by member Diane U.  Beautiful example of how working together produces stunning results!
Sam spent the rest of the afternoon working on the borders for her Montana Cartwheel quilt!  By the end of the day, she had applied her narrow black border!
It is so fun to celebrate quilt beginnings with one another!  Diane was busy cutting out a new quilt for her youngest brother ... lucky man!
Barb arrived with three completed UFOs!  She accomplishes sew much!  Two beautiful table runners!
And an adorable, hand embroidered baby quilt!  It is great to begin the new year with finishes!
Barb spent the day working on her hand applique' project, Grandma's kitchen.  This quilt is intense, but the results are amazing!  Barb's handwork inspires us all!
Valerie brought her latest Kim Diehl project!  Stunning!  She spent the day working on the appliquéd borders!  A gorgeous project in progress!
Marcela came with to QA with specific goals.  That is exactly what QA is all about!
This mother of two small children finished a quilt top!
And got a good start on two other quilts!
Amazing effort with spectacular results!
Tory has completed the units for this Bonnie Hunter Leader & Ender quilt!  Wowser!  She spent the day auditioning fabric  for the block borders and center square!
A decision was made!  And the results are extraordinary!

What fun!
  What inspiration!
  We are encouraging one another
as we shoot for the stars in QA!
