Spring Retreat was busy, productive, but most importantly fun! So much inspiration found in one room!
Our President, Amber, was busy with the final borders on another Llama quilt!
So fun! We refer to her as our Llama Specialist!
Next, she worked on making this super cute backpack!
Susie has been on a roll ... making another jelly roll rug!
It was a small, 24 piece, jelly roll so she adapted the pattern to make this perfect sized rug!
Angela is the mother of three beautiful children! The youngest are a set of twins (boy and girl) who will be three in a few weeks!
She spent most of the weekend making her son a "Big Boy" quilt!
We all enjoyed watching her piece together a top filled with all the things he loves, cars and trucks!
Amber made great progress on her "Frozen" quilt!
Lots of paper pieced, one of a kind, snowflake blocks!
On Sunday all the blocks had been pieced and all corner stones/lattice strips cut! Final layout decisions were made!
Diane spent her weekend with Forest Friends! Her fox even matched Amber's shirt! Too fun!
We all enjoy watching Diane create the forest whimsy this quilt captures!
Theresa owns and operates our local bakery, and just became a quilter this month! In only 4 weeks she has taken her first quilting class and joined the guild! Welcome Theresa!
Sarah is also new to quilting! She was in the same class as Theresa!
There is nothing more inspiring than witnessing new quilters fall in love with their creativity! Welcome Sarah!
Retreat is all about sharing the creative process!
Barb began the process of making a spring themed quilt kit!
Oh Barb, this quilt promises to be another stunner!
This picture of Sam is priceless! Doesn't she look like she is up to some sort of quilting deviance? Actually, she is just squaring up some scrappy units!
Sam was inspired to make Groovy Girl shopping bags by Terry Atkinson!
Her knitting themed fabric makes these bags especially cute!
Jackie brought her Groovy Girl bags already made to retreat!
Jackie is an online quilting guru and is busy making a beautiful, online, international sampler! Impressive and we fell in love with her fabric choices!
Denna shared a recent finish! The results are lovely!
She started a new quilt using two layer cakes!
We all enjoyed watching her quilt grow, block by block!
Sheryl came with a mission!
And it involved a lot of cutting! This quilt promises to be amazing!
Shannon shared a recent finish too! This mermaid is beautiful! The picture doesn't capture the detail she put into it!
Next up Shannon put our Accu - Quilter to good use!
And began piecing her next quilting masterpiece! Stay tuned!
Marcela also came with a new project!
As always, it will be fun to watch her piece! Beautiful!
Emma set her quilting aside and began making herself a jacket!
Talk about whimsy ... Daneille began the weekend by repairing this quilt for her toddler daughter! It made us all dream of mermaids!
Soon she was on to piecing a star pattern! The whimsy continues in this project!
Amy came with a mission as well!
Mission accomplished! Absolutely beautiful!
Danielle and Amy were the Co-Chairpersons for this event! They are relatively new members and willingly took on organizing and implementing our annual spring retreat! We can not thank them enough for making the weekend fun and enjoyable for us all! Our membership is grateful and we were blessed by their efforts, thank you!
