A weekend that included fabric, fun, and food was enjoyed by members during our Annual Fall Retreat!
Loose Ends
Tori worked on multiple projects ... all with stunning results!
Kay was busy putting binding on a sampler that just returned from the long-arm quilter and piecing an adorable wall quilt!
Marianne was on a mission. She made a weighted quilt, auction items and a new bag that will be traveling with her soon as she is attending International Quilt Festival in Houston!
Amber W. spent the weekend on her "Frozen" quilt! The paper pieced snowflake blocks are stunning! This quilt will truly be a treasure!
Angela began the weekend cutting and by Saturday afternoon the beautiful blocks began to take shape! There are a lot of pieces in every block and the results are stunning!
Amber T. pieced a quilt top and made three bags! All in one weekend! We all marvel at how much she accomplishes! She was the last to unthread her machine, she just wanted to keep sewing! We had to take a photo of her still sewing after everyone else had packed up! Too fun!
Denna was busy making a Christmas wall hanging, it is sew cute! She also completed three bags! Denna plans ahead and has more bags prepped and ready to finish at home! You go girl!
Marcela wowed us with the progress she made on two quilts during the weekend! It was inspiring to watch her piece together so quickly the 60 degree shaped stars! She made it look easy! Such talent!
Sam made great progress on a UFO and then caught the zippered bag bug! She quickly made multiple bags!
Barb had fun at our spring retreat learned a quick technique for making nine patches in any size! She took those blocks and pieced together this beautiful fall themed table runner this weekend! It is beautiful!
Kathleen was scrapping it up while making Minnesota Hotdish quilt blocks!
She was also celebrating a recent finish that was quilted by Diane, a local long arm quilter!
Diane was busy cutting out and began piecing this fun quilt destined for her young grandson! We are all excited to watch this quilt come together!
Mini Workshops
Marianne taught everyone to make "wide-mouth" zipper bags! It was such fun to see everyone's version, bags in every size and color! Great fun!
Marcela taught us all how to make "Folded Star" Christmas ornaments! Using those little sequin pins gave us a great case of the giggles! The ornaments were fun to make! They are beautiful!
Thank You
A heart-felt thanks to Diane and her committee for all they did to made Fall Retreat fabulous! Fun was had by all!
October Time to Sew
