This year is a big one for quilters in Cordova, Alaska! We are approaching our 30th anniversary, and spirits were high on Saturday as we held our first Time to Sew of the year!
Mom and daughter team, Cece and Laura, were busy finishing up this beautiful pieced top.
They spent time making a beautiful backing. It is layered and ready to be quilted! Many hands make light work!
Barb has been busy as always! She amazes us all!
Adorable holiday quilt!
A sweet redwork and appliqué quilt.
And this stunning wool appliqué album quilt!
Gorgeous work!
The quilt is wonderful in every way!
During the day she worked on this patriotic quilt! Beautiful!
Susie was busy working on a Christmas Log Cabin quilt.
She got her blocks pieced over half way! Great accomplishment!
Shannon was busy working on a Halloween themed fusible appliqué wall quilt!
She got several blocks fused!
And was able to get a few stitched down as well! Great results!
Sally brought in a beautiful top that is ready to be quilted!
Neva was piecing a backing for her recent scrap quilt finish!
Valorie was busy with small pieces that will eventually become a stunning quilt.
She also served as a resource for Denna. Denna is making a bag that Valorie has already finished. Guild members helping one another out is a big part of our mission as a guild.
Denna's bag was nearly complete by the end of the day!
Tori was busy with a set of charm squares.
She stuck with it all day long.
And she finished the piecing before the day ended! Whoot!Whoot!
Tori attended a quilt conference in Colorado last November. While there she attended classes! It was so fun to hear about her experiences!
New Year, New Project for Marianne!
She also shared a few finishes! A Courthouse Steps made with a Balipop!
This gorgeous star quilt is quilted and bound ... and she is keeping it! It is her snuggle quilt!
She also finished this online sampler!
This is the quilt she worked on Saturday. Blocks are done and ready to be sewn together!
It is important to make ourselves a quilt occasionally! Thanks for the reminder Marianne!
Darlene has made great progress on the wedding quilt she is making!
Sam spent the day machine quilting this charm square beauty!
Terry brought a lot of inspiration to share!
Eight blocks of her Farm Girl quilt are finished!
Twelve blocks done for her 1920's Farmer's Wife quilt.
And another twelve blocks for the 1930's quilt done! Wow! She has accomplished a lot!
She spent Saturday paper piecing! This is destined to be a very striking contemporary quilt!
Diane was applying binding! That last step always feels so good!
She made this beautiful batik quilt for a brother!
And this second one was for another brother! We all look forward to the one she will make for her third brother! We also wish she were our sister! ;-)
It was a great day of quilting! We are all looking forward to a great year!
