Fall Retreat Wrap Up!

Wow!  What a weekend!  Filled with fun and an overload of quilting fellowship and inspiration!
Tori quilted a charm square table runner ...
... and she demonstrated a  new technique ...
... that she turned into this beautiful vest!  Incredible!
She spent the rest of the weekend working on Row by Row wall quilts!  Sew fun!
And sew cute!
Terry shared a recent finish ... beautiful!
During retreat she made and completed two tablerunners ...
... both of them beautiful!
Neva has been "scrap happy"!  She made several "mug rugs"!
A few years ago, our guild held a trading patches event!  Neva pulled hers out and ...
... got busy piecing them into blocks ...
We all loved seeing the variety and how many fabrics could play so nicely with one another!
She made a lot of progress ... it is nearly pieced together!  Her progress inspired many of us to dig ours out of storage and get started!
Sam was working on this beautiful version of Terry Atkinson's Star Sprinkles design.
Blocks became rows ... which became a top ... and then there were borders!  Fun to watch it evolve!
Next she started machine quilting her Quiltworx's tablerunner ...
... with beautiful results!
Sara was busy too ...
... making super cute pants for her super cute daughters!
Linee' shared a project that she finished for one of our community elders that was started in the 1970s.  Unfortunately the commemorative hand quilting in the center of each block doesn't show in the photo ... lovely work ... lovely story!  Fantastic that Linee' completed it for her!
Kay was binding this fun and beautiful quilt!  She would only peak out from behind it for the photo.
Kathleen was busy piecing string blocks.  She has been very busy making and donating quilts to those in need!  Such an inspiration to us all!
Barb was busy using and demonstrating a new rotating mat she ordered while attending a Quilt Expo in Oregon this summer!
She also made this outdoor themed wall hanging!
Shannon is our resident "energizer" quilter ... she gets a lot done at these events!
She pieced and applied all three borders to her Jill Finley's Overture design ... it is lovely!
She spent the rest of the weekend working on an applique' quilt.
The detail in the design is amazing!
And Shannon's results are stunning!
Amber has made great progress on her feather blocks!  They are much more complicated than they appear in the photos.
She also started a  quilt for her young son.
The block utilizes a fun technique ...
... combined with the cute novelty prints ... it is sure to be adorable!
Susie brought in a jelly roll and before long had pieced her "Fastest Jelly Roll Ever"!
Then added the borders ... a very striking quilt in a short period of time!
Next she went to work on Jill Finley's Trellis pattern.
And finished the background piecing ... wonderful results!
Sally accomplished a lot on her mystery quilt!  She finished piecing all four borders!
The center is pieced too!  What a stunning quilt this is going to be!
Diane spent the weekend playing with scraps!
She pieced together both a doll and child sized quilt!  Too fun!  They will be sold as a set during our Annual Tea & Auction!
Denna started and finished her first paper piecing project!  It is adorable!
Angela made and finished this striking quilt top ... very inspiring!
Marcela also came with a mission and accomplished a lot!
She pieced this adorable quilt for a very fortunate baby!
She also pieced this amazing patchwork quilt top!  Stunning!
Valerie had three finishes to share!  This is an Anka's Treasures design ... we all loved the soft buttery colors!
This poultry themed Waffletime tablerunner by Atkinson's Designs ...
... and a recent Whatnot design by Kim Diehl!  Great work Valerie!
She also shared her 78 blocks from the 1920's Farmers Wife project she is working on ... gorgeous!
She pieced and finished this charm pack quilt too!  Such fun!
We all enjoyed a fabulous weekend of quilting thanks to our guild president, Valerie!  She organized the event and we all benefited from her efforts!

Thank you Valerie!
