November's "Time to Sew" was filled with productivity and fun! We began the day by making favors for those members who will be contributing auction items!
Members contributed their fabric...
... their time...
... their talent...
... and created...
... seventy-two individual, handmade pincushions! Many hands made light work ... we were finished by noon!
Dawn spent the afternoon working on a beautiful strip-pieced quilt.
Barb was busy putting the finishing touches on...
... two table toppers!
Valerie was busy hand appliqueing a snowman wall hanging!
Sara was especially busy... she finished this tote bag she had begun a couple years ago! That always feels so good!
She worked on layering her "Curves" top!
And she began a new project! The pattern uses a jelly roll ... here she is opening her very first one! Too fun!
President Sam was making a beautiful holiday themed pillow!
The lovely Mother Daughter team of Cece and Laura were busy making a beautiful scrap quilt!
Terry was busy putting binding on a Thimbleberries quilt that she recently finished quilting!
She also began working on a quilt that involved learning a new technique!
Darlene was quilting this beautiful art quilt! It was originally a drawing by a special needs student in our community. Darlene enlarged the art and is making it into a wall quilt for the girl who designed it! It will be stunning!
Sheryl was busy working on another Bonnie Hunter quilt!
She had hundreds of two inch squares cut and organized! She is using all batiks!
And the 4 patch construction began! Sheryl made great progress and had many made by the end of the day!
One of our youngest members was busy playing with her dolls under the classroom's long-arm quilting machine! Yes ... we start them young!
It was a fun and inspiring day that included our fall quarterly business meeting and a potluck dinner!
We are all excited about our annual auction next weekend! It will be Sunday, November 11th at the Orca Adventure Lodge and will begin at 2:00 pm!

You all had way too much fun without me. Makes me a little homesick.
