Finding Time to Sew this Weekend!

It was a busy weekend here in Cordova ... but several members worked in some "Time to Sew"!  I was unable to come Friday night so I missed members working on the Valor Quilt project!  They are making great progress!  Thanks Kay and Darlene!

A few weeks ago, each member contributed a couple of 2" batik strips ... several guild members turned those strips into blocks ... and Saturday was spent turning those blocks into a quilt top.
It was a good thing our youngest member stopped by to do the supervising!
Valerie was given the task of squaring things up!
Sam had the job of pressing accurately.
Don't let that innocent face or her size fool you ... she kept us on task and working.
This quilt will be auctioned off to assist with our scholarship fund.  Our supervisor knows that she might one day be a scholarship recipient, so she took her job very seriously.
Too dang cute!
Dawn was busy making Salmon themed Christmas stockings!
She was also making this French Braid table runner!  Beautiful!
Julie stopped by and shared a couple of table runners that she made for the auction.  They were very inspiring to see!

The group was small, but very productive!  Our guild members know how to make things happen!  The annual fundraiser is only weeks away!  Members are busy making items for the Tea & Auction ... a local event that is always well attended!
