Mission Accomplished!

Each quilter that arrived had a mission ... or two ... maybe four!  What a small, but productive group of members!
Cece prepared this Santa themed Log Cabin top for quilting!  It will be a fun and festive addition to the Holiday season!

Amber came with supplies to make organizational zipper bags.

A lot of skill and work goes into this type of bag.

Second one done!

Next one will be made by this piece of fabric printed into 12 fat quarters!  How fun!

All and all ... Amber completed a total of three bags!  With each one, she made adjustments and improvements in the pattern!  Each a work of art that serves a practical purpose.

Audrey got busy right off with completing this piece of art!

Look closely!  The applique pieces are made with snippets left over from piecing quilts.  All those little scraps most of us throw in the trash ... Audrey turns them into art!  It is stunning!

Next she worked on a "mystery quilt" that she has had in storage!  Blocks became rows!

Those rows became a quilt top!
Borders and done!  So fun to hear the story behind this finish!

She also shared this "Round Robin" project that she and friends had shared years ago!  It will be fun to see how she decides to finish it!

Another treasure pulled from storage!  This was the first mystery Audrey participated in years ago!  She liked it so much that she bought additional fabric to make it queen size!  She ended the weekend making additional blocks!

Barb came to cut and prepare projects to work on at home!  This was a beautiful autumn themed table topper!

Sam worked on a couple of projects over the weekend!  First up was this project picked up while traveling in Montana.  It is a 3 yard bundle kit.  You get three fabrics, each cut a yard.

The quilter chooses where to use each fabric and then comes up with a their own layout.  All three fabrics were beautiful!  So fun to watch this quilt evolve!

She decided to add a small inner border!  She raided her stash and auditioned several fabrics.

She played around with the half-square triangles and settled on a layout she liked.

Here is the center all pieced together!  It is so beautiful!

Sam also finished the borders on this quilt ... and it is now ready for the long arm quilter!  It is destined to be a gift!

It was such a great weekend!  We had fun celebrating everyone's projects!  Everyone came with a mission and we all left on Sunday able to say ... Mission Accomplished!

Time to Sew Success!

Sew much fun!  Sew much inspiration!  Sew much enthusiasm!  Sew much quilting!

Sam hosted the weekend!  We are all sew very grateful for the opportunity to work on our projects together!
She finished this quilt by binding it!  Yay for finishes!
Next she brought out a series of airplane blocks.  Here they are on the floor while she decided how to piece them together!
She decided to use a narrow sashing that frames each plane perfectly!  She then cut out another project!  One finish, one top pieced, and a new project cut out! Sew productive!
Shannon came and pieced a beautiful quilt top! We are unable to show it, as it will be a gift for a friend.
Torie joined in the fun with a new quilt project!  She was busy cutting and many of the pieces were small.  It will be sew fun to see this quilt come to life it!
Audrey came with a mission.  She had a quilt top that she had pieced a few years ago, and because she didn't particularly care for the colors she had set it aside.
But first she shared a finish that she loved!  It is sew beautiful!
Here is the top she didn't care for, but knew that with the right borders ...
... it would be stunning!  And it is!  Gorgeous finish!
Laura enjoys hand work, and spent the weekend hand quilting.
This beautiful quilt is nearly finished.  It is entirely made by hand ... hand embroidery, hand pieced, hand quilted and will be bound by hand!  Sew stunning!
Amber was busy making bags over the weekend!  She is a master at bag making and has made several different styles over the years.
She finished the first bag on Saturday!
By Sunday afternoon she had made two more!  Three beautiful bags full of creativity!
Everyone made a lot of progress, but most importantly we enjoyed our time together!  It was lovely!

Our next Time to Sew will be in November!  Stay tuned for details!
