April has proven to be a very productive month for our local quilters! Spring Retreat, Quilter's Anonymous, and yesterday's Time to Sew! Lots of progress and tons of fun!
Valerie continued working on the quilt she began during retreat!
She made great progress on the applique' that embellishes this sweet quilt!
Here is Marianne with her "celebrity" quilt! It was featured on both Sherri Fall's and the Fat Quarter Shop's instagram and facebook pages! Whoot! Whoot!
She used the leftover fabric to piece her backing! Too cool!
She finished quilting this paper pieced star quilt.
Marianne used her Tula Pink leftovers to create this beautiful quilt.
This project is ready to be quilted and progress was made during this event!
A sampler ready for machine quilting!
Vinyl project bag useful in helping us all stay organized!
Paper piecing fun!
By the end of the day, Marianne had added borders and was quilting this beautiful paper pieced landscape!
Amber came with a project that put us all under a spell!
Paper pieced, five inch blocks representing the houses of Hogwarts!
These blocks are very intricate ... it takes a bit of magic and patience to make them!
Amber's son was also busy quilting! He used magic to disappear behind his project!
Barb was busy using a new 9 patch technique that she recently learned!
Her productivity is always amazing! Her plans for these will be stunning!
Shannon busied herself with paper piecing as well!
Again, many many tiny pieces!
All that work is worth it when the results are this amazing!
Sam finished piecing the blocks for her jelly roll quilt!
And pieced them together too! We all had such fun watching this technique!
Angela made progress on a new quilt start!
Marcela was busy machine quilting this stunning quilt!
Barb shared the progress she has made on her Trellis quilt! All the applique' is done!
She has been using a charm pack to piece fall themed 9 patch blocks.
With the addition of sashing and wool appliquéd leaves it is becoming a work of art!
Our monthly "Time to Sew" events are alway inspiring! Our members rock!
