Let's Go Sew! Spring Retreat!

Wow!  Just two sleeps until our Spring Retreat begins!  Oh the fun, food, and quilty fellowship that awaits!

Valerie and her committee have been working hard to put everything into place for our "Loose Ends" event!

Here are the details:

When:   Friday, March 31st from 6 - 10 pm
             Saturday, April 1st from 9 am - 10 pm
             Sunday, April 2nd from 9 am - 5 pm

Where: High School Home Ec Room

Fee:      $10 for members, $30 for new members!

What:   Quilty Fun!  Here are a few Highlights!

• Door Prizes!
• Swap Table!  Items can be brought in anytime during the event!
• Snacks!  Please bring food to share!  Guild will provide bottled water, coffee and tea!
• Accuquilt Demonstration on Friday @ 7 pm!  Available to use all weekend!
• Saturday Tips and Tricks!  Bring leftover charm squares to give these fun techniques a try!  11 am - Fast 4 Patches with Sam ... 2:30 pm - Applique' Circles with Valerie ... Fast 9 Patches with Terri!
• Saturday Dinner!  We'll be having Harborside Pizza and Salad provided by the guild!

Hold on to your sewing machine!  Our guild year is functioning at full speed!  Lots of quilty fun is planned for the near future!

March Time to Sew Event

Sam and Barb will host our monthly Time to Sew event this Saturday!  That is tomorrow!  Fun begins at 9 am and lasts until 6 pm!

Membership

Remember that it is important to both pay your dues and fill out the membership form.  Some have done one, but not the other.  Dues can be sent to our guild's address found on the membership form or given to any executive board member.  Just click the link found in the right margin!  Our dues help pay for the rent required to use the facilities we hold our events in, so you must be a member to participate.  Thanks!

Spring Retreat!

Valerie and her committee have loads of fun planned for our "Loose Ends" Spring Retreat!  More details will follow next week, but it is important that you register online now so that we know how many to plan for!  Registration link can be found in the right margin!  Dates are March 31st through April 2!  Thanks next weekend!  Whoot!  Whoot!

Quilter's Anonymous

 Marcela and Terri will be hosting Quilter's Anonymous on Sunday, April 9th!  The fun begins at 11am and ends at 5 pm!

We love our guild!

QA Fun & Progress!

Inspiration is always present at our guild events ... but ambition is also very present at QA events!  Everyone who comes has a mission, and a lot of progress is made while they are cheered on by members that are present!

Angela is nearly finished with a beautiful quilt for a newly born infant!  We hope to see it before she gifts it.  It is going to be stunning!

Sam actually worked on three different projects!  And yes, she made progress on them all!

Shannon was the "four-patch" queen for the day!  She pieced hundreds!

Diane's pineapple quilt is one row closer to being king-sized!  It is so beautiful and worth all the time and effort!

Torie finished the lap quilt she made for a disabled friend!

We loved how she pieced the backing!  It is bound and is probably being enjoyed by it recipient by now!  A true gift of love and friendship!

Marcela began the day by cutting up a fat quarter pack!  Fun, spring themed fabrics!

Before long they were transformed into stars!

By the end of the day, only two blocks remained to be pieced!

How inspiring!  Beautiful projects!  Too fun!  Our guild members rock!

Let's Go Sew - Loose Ends Spring Retreat

Valerie and her committee have been hard at work making plans for our annual spring retreat!  Our members requested a Loose Ends event!  Here are the details:

When           March 31st, 6 - 10 pm
                    April 1, 9 am - 9 pm
                    April 2, 9 am - 6 pm

Where         High School Home Ec Room

Fee              $10 which includes a salad and pizza dinner on Saturday

Sharing Our Talent & Skills

One of our strengths as a guild, is the inspiration and talent we share with one another!  Anyone interested in doing a mini demonstration on a particular technique or new notion/tool they have discovered please email Valerie at vjquilts@gmail.com so that she can schedule time frames!
