Member Shannon began the day making log cabin blocks!
Before we could blink ... she had it laid out!
And by early afternoon it was pieced together! She hasn't decided on borders, so it was set aside.
Next she brought out this jelly roll quilt that she machine quilted herself.
We were all impressed with the border design she had added. She cut binding and applied it by machine! Yes ... she finished it!
Next ... she pulled out this top. Also a jelly roll pattern. She shared with us her plans for the borders and began working on them before the day was done! We were all inspired by her talent and energy!
Sam was busy working on a scrappy binding ...
... for this beautiful quilt that she just received back from a one of our local long arm quilters! This quilt just sings happiness! Perfect for the wedding gift it is destined to be!
This fun and scrappy binding will be just like the frosting on a wedding cake! Gorgeous!
Diane stopped by for a few hours and made progress on the border for her Quiltworx quilt.
Valerie came with a mission ... to quilt her Thimbleberries table topper!
Not only did she accomplish that ... she also cut and applied the bias binding! Beautiful workmanship!
Terry hosted the event this month ... and we were amazed with what she'd accomplished this past month!
This is the quilt top she was working on today! So cheerful!
She recently made a few adjustments on the first quilt she made ... Minnesota Hot Dish ... in a Beginning Quilting class in the late 1990's. So fun to have her bring it in ...
... sew we could compare it to her most recent finish!
Her "Feathered Star" by Quiltworx literally knocked our socks off! What an accomplishment! It is stunning!
She ended the day by piecing this top and planning borders! Such talent ... so inspiring!
Special thanks to Terry for organizing our June "Time to Sew" event! We all ended the day inspired by the talents of our members! Just a reminder ... we will not be meeting in July. Our next event will be August 16th! Enjoy your summer!
