Great Progress Made at QA!

It is so inspiring to see the progress each month that members are making on their PhDs!
Tori was celebrating a finish!  Her second project done and ready to be gifted!  It is beautiful, congratulations to her!
She is already busy expanding her piecing skills with a star themed table runner!
Shannon came with a mission ...
... she applied the binding to this Popsicle quilt. It was pieced by her mother some time ago and Shannon had recently machine quilted it!  A great effort by this mother / daughter team!
Shannon also spent the afternoon adding both borders to this Snail's Tail top!  Mission accomplished!
Valerie has been busy too!
She has made great progress on her "Fields End" by McKenna Ryan blocks.
She finished this block at QA... she only has 4 blocks left ... great progress!
She also brought in a recent knitting project ... too cute!
Sam was busy cutting out a project that she is working on with her sister who lives in the Lower 48 ... this is their second long distance collaboration!  Such fun!
Diane was busy making layout decisions for her Cobblestone quilt!  It will be beautiful!
Amber was applying binding to a baby quilt she recently finished for a friend!  So sweet!
Sally pulled out a mystery quilt that she began years ago ... she figured out where she had left off ...
... and finished 12 blocks yesterday!  It is going to be a stunning quilt!
Terry knocked our socks off again!
Look at all the progress she has made on her hand appliqued blocks!  Wowser!

QA encourages us to pull out projects that we love, but for multiple reasons, have been packed away and ignored!  It is so nice to receive that gentle nudge to "dig" them out ... make some progress ... then receive the support and encouragement of fellow guild members. Such a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

Guild members have been wrapping up those PhDs ...
... literally!  April is such a busy month with the Easter holiday and Spring Retreat that Quilter's Anonymous will have their April meeting this Sunday, March 29th.  The Home Ec room will be open from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm with the meeting at 1:00 pm.

Shannon contacted me yesterday and said that Spring Retreat is filling up fast!  Yay!  She needs those of you who signed up at Saturday's Time to Sew event to register online as the committee needs your contact information.

Celebrating National Quilting Day!

Members celebrated National Quilting Day by filling the room with lots of energy, creativity, and laughter!
Debra was busy playing with her pile of scraps ...
... and using them to create beautiful blocks!
Sam was busy layering her projects ... a stunning Quiltworx tablerunner ...
and this super cute baby quilt!
Darlene spent most of her day working on the community raffle quilt.
She shared the recent finish of this beautiful wedding quilt!
Kim was busy assisting with the  raffle quilt ...
... as was Lila!
Barb made great progress on a hand applique sampler ... her workmanship is always amazing!
Diane has been busy with her new long arm quilting business and the community quilt.
This week she pieced and quilted these two adorable quilts for a pair of twin boys that will be arriving shortly!
The one with gray borders was quilted with letters ...
... and the one with brown trim was quilted with numbers.  Sew stinkin' cute!
Torie began her third quilt project ... she was busy learning new skills while piecing star blocks!
Kelsey shared a T-Shirt quilt she recently finished and then got to work on a new quilt for her uncle!
Marcela was especially busy!
She was binding both a patriotic log cabin ...
... and this beautiful purple one!
She also made great progress on a relatively new project.
Angela continues working on her Lucky Stars quilt that features fabrics that her young daughter picked out!
The blocks were laid out and daughter approved!  Sew sweet!
Denna applied borders to her first quilt!
Her king-sized quilt is beautiful!  She is excited to have it quilted!
Shannon was busy working on a wedding quilt for friends ...
She was able to finish the piecing today!
Marianne wowed us with her new and super cute apron!
She has been busy!  Here is a wall quilt finish for a very important family in her life!
She pieced this one to serve as a banner for her church!
We all look forward to seeing her monthly blocks that are a part of the Fat Quarter Shop Block of the Month!  Her teapot turned out adorable.
During the day she finished the blocks for this soon to be finished quilt!
We had a ton of fun with Valerie and her Thimbleberries table runner.  It has been quilted and she was applying binding today!
Because of the table runner's size ... we've been teasing her that she must be making it for her "Sasquatch" (Big Foot) neighbors!
We decided that the best way to gift it to the Sasquatch family was to wrap her in it!  Yes, the silliness was in overdrive as we rolled her up for delivery!

Such a fun and productive day!  We all can't wait for Spring Retreat next month!
